Hey heres an idea for the epithet erased zine do you think we could use it as a way to raise money for the show or charity?

Sorry it took me awhile to answer this, I had to discuss this with Red. And honestly… we’re not sure. First we’d have to figure out how we’re distributing it and if we’d have to change it (right now we’re leaning towards Gumroads due to how the fact we already know how to use it and if there’ something we can’t figure out we already know people who can help us get it back on the rails). If we went with the first option you presented, first we’d have to figure out where the money would go - @jelloapocalypse or the company VRV. We’d also have to hash out a lot more details - would it still be sold on Gumroads; would this change how the zine is ran due to working with a company; if so how much would be us and how much would be them? Would our creators get a cut of the profit and if so how much? The 2nd one is less harder - after the purchase period ends we would just calculate how much money was made and send it to the charity. But we’d have to choose a charity 1st.

 There’s also the issue of pool shrinking. We really do want to allow everyone who wants to join, join… but that often leads to problems like one character getting far more content then all the rest, so for zines like these it’s better to ask what characters the people want to write/draw, place them in the pools for those characters, and go from there which is what zines like the Smile For Me Zine did from what I can tell. When you sell a zine though it can also cause your pool to become smaller. Non-Profit charity zines (zines where the creators get nothing and the charity gets all the money) like the Slime Rancher OC zine aren’t affected by this one due to the fact none of the participants are earning money; but if our contributors would earn money from the sales, than we might have to make it so the applicants are adults to limit issues. Of course this would all set on whether or not we’d be allowed to sell it.

So in all honesty there’s a lot of factors we are taking in before the 23rd (our personal deadline to hash out all the details and give me (Lora) time to rest in between looking for new jobs and filling out applications. Thank you for this wonderful question anon, it really made us think and discuss these things even harder!
