Valid Reasons to Not Invite Your Friends to Church
God’s telling you to wait. Whatever your theology on gut feelings, if you think God’s telling you to wait, wait. Chances are, the moment to share will come and He’s preparing that person’s heart.
They’re unwilling. Dragging an unwilling person to church is going to do more harm than good. It takes a certain kind of headspace to be able to receive God and, if they’re not in the right headspace yet, it’s not going to work.
They’re already attending another church and they’re happy with that church. Unless that church is preaching blatantly false doctrine or abusing its congregation, let your friends go to their church.
You don’t feel right about your church yourself. If you think you should leave your church, it’s probably best to not invite other people into that environment.
