Job Overhaul Gameplay
Part 3: Interviews
This part got really fun. I fast-forwarded through to Monday morning because I was dying to see what the interviews were like.
Firstly, you get a notification one hour before your interview and from then onward, you get an option to go to the interview at the rabbithole.
Note: It looks like the sims switch to formal wear before the interview. I like this idea, it means they’ll look a bit more professional.
In future, I’ll have to add a second, job interview, formal outfit for each sim, LOL! Blair was attending an interview for a position as a Vet in this outfit! *facepalm*
Once your sim gets to the interview, you get a couple of notifications where your sim is answering questions. These were the notifications I got for Blair, Tamara and Stiles.
Tamara’s answers had me cracking up. Especially as she applied for the Accountant job. I couldn’t believe how perfect her second answer was (a lie though it might be!).
After 1 hour, the interview is done.
Stiles and Blair got their jobs! I like the moodlet they get when they get a successful interview:
Tamara, however, didn’t get the job. I can’t say that I’m surprised...
I guess she’s back on the job market then!
Overall, I love what this mod has added to the job search for Sims. It feels a little more realistic and I love it!
New mods?
So all, I think it’s kinda obvious that I’ve been pretty swamped. Whenever I turn my back I have over 50 requests, haha. I’m thinking of getting some new mods, so how are you all with taking little tests if you’re interested with making flags with me? I was thinking of posting either one ‘request’ at a time, or just the list. And you either have to do the one request or can pick and choose from the list. Anyone have any opinions?
I would be ‘grading’ you all on how much it looks like what it’s supposed to, how well it fits the ‘request’, the quality, and the colors.
Next week is Self Insert September! Read all about it here!
If you were to design a diaper, what would you make it look like and what features would it have?
I am still kinda torn when it comes to a simple blank design or a cute one. Since I tried the Crinklz I am starting to like childish cute designs, before I was not really a fan of it.
Maybe this is how I’d design it. A simple design with a few cute pictures, maybe of ponies. But not spread all over the diaper like the Crinklz.
Job Overhaul Gameplay
I’ve started playing around with the new Job Overhaul mod by Gamefreak130. As requested by @bordelinski, I’m sharing some screenshots. I’ll do this in a few parts but I love what this mod has added.
Part 1: The Settings
Firstly, the whole mod is customisable on a per-savegame basis but there’s an option to export your settings (like Story Progression) and import settings, so you can use them over and over.
The menu is really straightforward to use. They’re all fairly self explanatory but Gamefreak130 goes into detail about each one on the download page.
When you go to ‘Career Availability’, all the careers in your game show up - including the custom ones.
By clicking on any career (I’ve used my Accountant career to show how this works with the custom careers), you get these two menu options. The first is to decide whether this career is available for applications and the second is to decide whether this career requires a degree to join and if so, which one (how cool is that?)
If you click on the Interviews menu option, you get the same list of available careers. By selecting one, you get these options come up. You can choose which traits will be likely to negatively impact your chances of getting the job, which ones will positively impact your chances and which skills are required to increase your chances. You also decide here whether this job requires an interview or not.
That’s all for the settings. Part 2 on its way!
