Why is it that trans men self-censor themselves a lot?

I have been noticing that trans women are very open and fluid with how they feel in regards of kinks and media they like. There is a major pattern of women and femme-aligned people happily identifying as fujoshis, himejoshis or even far controversial terms in kink. They’re always happy to engage with their media, but why not trans men? It’s rare to see a pro-fiction individual that is masculine, at least from what I noticed in my own checkups on my feed.

I feel this has to do with transphobia and transmisia, but I can’t pinpoint what exactly is…

i'll just dump my arturo childhood headcanons here, lots of projection beware

obv content warning for suicide and the like

arturo has experienced psychosis on multiple occasions. his dissociation and fixation on hollywood glamour began as a trauma response in his childhood household. he wasn't especially close to his younger sister felicity, but she looked up to him a lot and he was her thread clinging to hope. arturo eventually managed to get out of the household but did so alone. did he just assume felicity'd manage? probably. she didn't though. obviously it can't be his fault. how would he have known? she wasn't his responsibility. well, turns out he had a lot more on him than he'd thought. he meant to abandon this whole life, not realising how much it'd hurt felicity.

I am sad :(
