hi do the submissions for the latest event all have to be set in space or can they just be generally related to the individual prompts?

Hi Peanut! No, your fills don't have to be space-themed, Worlds Beyond is an Alternate Universe (AU) themed event!

The OG idea was to use "speculative fiction" genres as a baseline, and sci-fi is one of the genres most associated with this! In a fandom space, our equivalent is Alternate Universes, which don't trace directly to traditional published genres--the idea is to push your creativity and see where it takes you!

Your path doesn't have to be in a space ship! It can be a pirate ship, a road racer, a Victorian carriage, on the back of a horse or a dragon, in a pick-up truck, with an elytra, etc. etc.

Hi sending this here because I'll be honest I dont know who's ducks co-host is and I want to praise both of you

I only just had time to check out the prompt website and???? Its the fucking coolest thing ever????? I absolutely love everything, the aesthetic, the variety of the prompts, the space theme, but more then anything I adore the prompts for in-world documents. Genuinely have never seen an event do anything as cool, and I will admit I sent the link to a discord of another fandom because it was so cool I just needed more people to see it and try the website out

Anyway!!!! Ten thousand kisses and a million billion hugs. If you guys keep being so awesome Ill steal your hands <3

Aww thank you, Rat! We're glad you're enjoying our prompt website! I (Dusk) worked really hard on it for multiple weeks, developing the idea and finding/wrangling the right code for our vision 🤩

Feel free to send it to others, although the website is for our Sapnap+ event, the prompts themselves are fairly neutral!

Our hosts/mods are @dusk-in-neon and @7ynnn with help from Sketch for our banners and QA/revising copy.

Glad the documents section is being appreciated, we've been discussing running an event around using different mediums for a while now 👀 The document formats just fit in perfectly with the Alternate Universes theme of the Worlds Beyond event!

Its summer for me and for some reason I keep forgetting its winter for other people so the urge Im getting to submit a summer or heat themed prompt /hj

You can absolutely send in any prompts you wish to the event, including summer-themed prompts. That’s what we get for making an event about seasons that only match the northern-half of the globe. Technically, our ‘summer’ event happened in winter for many people!

Plus, the idea of the north-south summer-winter divide could be an interesting idea to explore in your fills as well! =)

In the end, all of our event themes and prompts are there for inspiration first—the goal is ART, the act of creation and building community 🧡

Hi! if i use a nsfw style prompt but my art/writing inspired by it is completely sfw, would i still tag it sapafterdark?

Hi! Good question! No, it's not necessary to use the NSFW tag if your fill is SFW, even if a NSFW prompt inspired it!

So i can choose any order of prompts on my sheet to fill in?

Yes! You can choose to fill the prompts on your sheet in ANY order and in any amount. You can also combine prompts into a single fill!

The goal of a BINGO is to try and get a full line (horizontally, vertically or diagonally), which would be filling five prompts. But, this is a casual event, feel free to fill them in any order, even if it won't make a BINGO.

If you do manage to fill five prompts in a row (or 'blackout' your sheet, which is filling ALL the squares), don't forget to tag us and use the #sapsummerCall25 to 'Call' your BINGO!

This event runs until August 15th, so there's lots of time to strategize or just have fun making art this summer!
