as far as i know, eye eaters have been around longer than ultra beasts. you always hear horror stories about eye eaters, and ultra beasts started showing up much, much later. maybe this one was drawn to the eye eater’s power? i haven’t met any myself, but i’d like to see how i match up against an ultra beast when my friends aren’t in danger.

my teacher said he fought an ultra beast once, but i don’t think it was the same as this one. he said the one he fought was all big and red and looked like a bug-type! and i haven’t seen anything like that so far.

after our first encounter, the alien apparently just... disappeared into the fog. it left no trace, and with the ship destroyed, there wasn’t any way to track it. according to some other survivors who took escape pods, after necrozma disappeared and the fog cleared, everything else seemed to get sucked into an endless darkness. it was like even the light from the stars had gone out in the area. since we know so little about it, we don’t even know if we can classify it as an ultra beast. for now, though, some aether members have taken to calling it ‘false.’

do you think it’ll leave us alone...?

there’s no way of telling, but after the fog clears, i’ll go back and let everyone know what happened. we’ll keep a close eye on your ship in case you need help.

"for a long, long, time, lord omukade has been worshipped as the guardian of umibe town. it's said that they even protected the town from storms and tsunamis caused by gods of the ocean. apparently, lord omukade is so large, they can wrap themselves around an entire mountain, yet there have been very little eyewitness reports of the beast itself. this painting here is an approximation of how big lord omukade is according to one of their previous shrine attendants."

"the characters that make lord omukade's name are also an indication of what exactly it is. the first one, 'o' (大), means large, the second one, 'mu' (百), means hundred, and the third, 'kade' (足), means leg or foot. if they truly are as fearsome as they seem, then perhaps it's a good thing that they don't appear very often."
