Hi! This post has a link to it!
Bon Odori tomorrow evening!
Bon Odori is tomorrow and as a reminder, this is NOT a cosplay event. Please respect the rules and do not come with full on cosplays. The allowed attire are normal clothes and yukatas.
--- Mod:H edit; A good number of the KL/Selangorstucks will be there tomorrow, so if you were looking for an excuse to meet up with us before the next con/event, here's your chance! :p
where can I buy Dirk/Dave's cosplay outfits? I am from Malaysia :)
I don’t think you’ll be able to buy much of anything premade outside of the Whatpumpkin or Topatoco webstores, especially not locally, unless you approach a cosplayer selling their secondhand cosplays off, unfortunately.
Sorry if this isn’t the results you’re hoping for! If you message us off anon with what you’re looking for specifically, one of the mods may be able to privately offer you some help.
As it is, most of the cosplayers in HSMY make their own cosplays, including painting their own tshirts as it is more cost-effective to do it this way rather than buying it from the States with our local currency.
——Mod:E edit; Since selling homestuck merchandise for profit is actually not allowed, you’d have to make your own cosplay. But there are a lot of places in Malaysia where you can get the materials to make it listed here. There are also chances of people selling their cosplays in the group— just keep an eye out.
I moved to Malaysia just over a month ago and have yet to meet any Malaysian Homestucks. Where are you people?! How do I find you?
As much as it would be lovely to find homestucks on the streets just randomly painted grey or in kid’s shirts, all of us are normal people. But! You can join the Homestuck Malaysia Facebook group right here and start making friends! Sometimes we hold outings that would be stated on either here or the facebook group and meetups for cons. We also have a member list on this tumblr that links to some of our members here if you’d like.
Taken from a facebook post. (Thank you Miki)
- Toilets are only available from 10am onwards, and they're located only on the 5th, 6th and 7th floor. Those are the floors the event is situated at, and you'll be getting there by elevator. (I hope you're not thinking of changing into your costume at the event itself! If you're that desperate though... my friends and I got into costume at a train station once so... don't...lose hope???)
- Tickets will be sold on the spot, but there are currently only 500 out for grabs. I know there are a couple of you who are planning on buying on the day itself, so I hope you can get there early! They'll probably be available starting at 9:30 or 10, but I can't guarantee you there won't be a line before that!
- With the tickets, you're supposed to get your hands stamped. Don't wash off the stamp or else you might not be able to get back into the event. (Heads up, I have no idea whether the stamp will be visible if you had to touch up your snazaroo over it.)
- Also, the volunteers are supposed to enter you guys in a lucky draw. It will be by ticket numbers, so keep 'em on you at all times! (There's also something about pulling you guys aside to like a facebook page, just saying, be prepared.)
- Common con etiquette still applies!!
Two more days before C2AGE!
Facepaint tested?
Buttons sewn on?
Last tid bits of your costume painted?
If you haven't, get to it!
Hey guys, just a quick question. Where do you guys normally get your wigs and face paint? (online or at the local shops, or just some malaysian cosplay resources anyhow) Thanks :D (uuh, message me maybe?)
Here you go!
And all the halls booked too! I hope you guys love walking because you'll need to.
