Modability
I haven't mentioned this yet but from the start of this project I have taken mod ability into consideration. I want players to be able to mod in their own A.I. Behaviors, Weapons, and Ships without any issue accessing the code needed to do so.
This is important to me because I love to see game communities grow and if / when I move on from this project it won't be up to me to add expandable content. As I move forward towards and post release I will be creating mod help documents and tutorials on how to mod the basics into the game.
This of course will not affect the final product in any way as I intend to deliver a game that can be played for hours and hours without completely conquering the learning curve.
