The #RaceTogether is only in US Starbucks I believe. As I live in Canada I will not have to be forced into this kind of discussion.I'm barely in a Starbucks for more than 5 minutes. Not a good enough length of time for any kind of thorough discussion short of "are you having a good week?" and "Big plans this weekend?"
That’s good to know for reference purposes. As cynical as this sounds, this is probably going to bite Starbucks in the rear for many reasons:
Rude/non-morning person goes off on an employee either in anger or words that fly into the danger zone. Employee most likely will get penalized.
Overly PC customers complaining about things they may overhear at the counter.
Jackasses using the “#RaceTogether” tag to metaphorically shit on the whole campaign/make certain locations look bad. Because we all know that whenever a company tries to start a hash tag campaign there’s gonna be people being smartasses/jackasses/just plain awful
Possible loss of business from people who don’t want any type of discussion other than placing their order and thanking the employee (whether they’re not talkative or they have something mentally that makes off the cuff discussions difficult).
Managers or Corporate enforcing a quota of discussions per day, which could bite employees on the ass
Employees being put in uncomfortable positions (Like they enjoy the register but don’t want to cause trouble/conflict)
I’m sure their intentions behind this were good at their core, but this will probably backfire.

I'm all giddy and had to let someone know the good news that I finally have a date with a cute boy. Moved to a big city a year ago, been so very depressed about knowing so few people, making new friends, all that stuff (I'm very VERY introverted so I don't go out much) but I have a date with a cute boy and that makes me so very happy right now.
Congrats on the date nonny!!!! :D

At least five cases of a serious foodborne illness and three deaths are being blamed on contaminated ice cream treats

While it seems the people who got hurt were in one location, if you have any of the products listed on the page please get rid of them to be on the safe side

An antivirus program labelled itself as malware, causing some computers it was running on to stop working.
After an update, essential components in two Panda Security antivirus programs became corrupted, leading them to be mistakenly identified as malign and quarantined.
Panda said a fix had been released and warned that rebooting affected systems could exacerbate the issue.
It asked those affected to get in touch so it could help fix their machines.

So, if any of our followers have Panda, y’all might wanna give this a read.

The civil rights movement of the sixties was a glorious dignified campaign for equality. Most of the current movements seem to boil down to "y'all are shit for not caring about X!"
And something that people need to take into consideration is just because something serious is going down in their area doesn't mean automatically everyone out there will know about it or even hear about it.
For example, currently in Florida they're deciding whether or not students/employees of public universities with Concealed Carry Permits can have their guns with them on campus. For Floridians this is important, but you wouldn't expect Average Jacques in Monaco to be too concerned about it unless they would have need to be at a university in Florida.
Another factor that people who say the "how is no one talking about this!" sometimes forget: even though someone has access to multiple news sources, it doesn't mean the second something happens they know about it. Not only is there just so much news there's also so many news outlets that range in their style of reporting. Even at the local news level there's differences in reporting style/content. Not to mention the websites that are just full of clickbait/false sources.
Someone's not shit for "not caring about 'X'!" for all you know they hadn't heard jack shit about it or are waiting to find out more information before making a response.
So people who automatically do that just because someone doesn't know, take some deep breaths and chillax for a bit.

For people who don't know, in the USA, and Canada, International Mens Day is November 19. So can we inform people so the feminists can stop erroneously stating that every day is International Men's Day
For some reason I was thinking it was in September so thank you (and to a lesser extent Google) for the correct information. Unfortunately when it rolls around so much of this site will pull the "every day is men's day" bullshit.

Votes
Feb. 23, 2015 Passed That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.
Feb. 23, 2015 Failed That the motion be amended by deleting all the words after the word “That” and substituting the following: “this House decline to give second reading to Bill C-51, An Act to enact the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act and the Secure Air Travel Act, to amend the Criminal Code, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts, because it: ( a) threatens our way of life by asking Canadians to choose between their security and their freedoms;( b) was not developed in consultation with other parties, all of whom recognize the real threat of terrorism and support effective, concrete measures to keep Canadians safe;( c) irresponsibly provides CSIS with a sweeping new mandate without equally increasing oversight; ( d) contains definitions that are broad, vague and threaten to lump legitimate dissent together with terrorism; and( e) does not include the type of concrete, effective measures that have been proven to work, such as working with communities on measures to counter radicalization of youth.”.
Feb. 19, 2015 Passed That, in relation to Bill C-51, An Act to enact the Security of Canada
Canadian followers, take from that and the asker what you will.
