Be careful not to lose your sense of authenticity when you’re with someone else. Be careful not to lose track of your own personal goals and dreams. Be careful not to lose yourself, in another human being.

You are not too broken to find the happiness that you lost somewhere down the line.

The person who can make you the happiest is the same person who can break your heart the hardest.

I’ve always been fascinated by How beautifully people say That they miss someone The French say “Tu me manques” Or “You’re missing from me” The Portuguese use the word “saudades” Which is the love that remains, After the person is gone The Spanish say “Me haces falta” Or “I feel the lack of you” The Indians say “मुझे तुम्हारी याद आ रही है “ Or “Your memories keep coming back to me” And the English say “I miss you" Like you’re the bull’s eye, And I’m a dart. I almost hit you, Almost, but not quite. I miss you. Like you’re a train, And I’m running late. I almost catch you, Almost, but not quite. I miss you. Like you’re the sunset, And I blinked. I almost see you, Almost, but not quite. I miss you. Like you’re you And I’m me I almost ask you to stay Almost, but not quite. You’re gone, And I miss you.

You don’t need that guy who you have to triple text to get a response back. You don’t need that girl who strings you along with no intention of ever dating you. You don’t need anyone who doesn’t need you.
The truth is – if someone wants you in their life you will know. There won’t be any games or mixed signals because they will be gung-ho for you and give you their best. But instead of being attracted to the people who are attracted to us we’re always attracted to the people who don’t want us. We’re always attracted to the person who wants someone else.
We get caught up in the idea of them and why they aren’t giving us their complete attention, just like we aren’t giving the person who is interested in us our attention. It’s a brutal cycle but it’s reality.
We spend so much time trying to impress people who literally don’t care about us and it’s exhausting, and it made me realize you don’t need anyone who doesn’t need you.
You don’t need the guy who you have to beg to hang out with you or the girl who ignores you in public. You don’t need to give and give to someone who is only going to use you in the end. You don’t need to change yourself and try to ‘fix’ yourself because the person you like is into someone else. You are enough just the way you are and you don’t need anyone who doesn’t need you.
Stop trying to compare yourself to other people, stop thinking of yourself as not good enough or unlovable because one insignificant person doesn’t want you back.
Just because one person doesn’t want you back doesn’t mean there aren’t tens or hundreds of people in your life who love you just for being you, even if it’s not in a romantic way. Don’t throw that all away and deem yourself unworthy of love just because one person couldn’t see that.
In all honesty – you can’t force love, you can’t force relationships and you can’t force people to like you. If someone doesn’t appreciate you for who you are then they aren’t the right person for you anyway.
You will find someone who appreciates your laugh, who loves every imperfect part of you, who doesn’t think you’re ‘too much’ or ‘too little’ of anything. You will find someone who truly loves every inch of you and that’s the kind of person you should want – not the person you have to convince to text you back or hang out with you.
Quit wasting your time on that one person who doesn’t care to acknowledge how wonderful you are because they will never do anything for you other than make you dislike yourself, and there is no time for that.
I know your heart might be stuck on them right now but you will move on, you will get over them and you will wonder why you spent all the time trying to convince someone to love you when you could have been loving yourself this whole time. You don’t need their validation or approval because you don’t need someone to approve of you when you are already enough. You don’t need their half-hearted compliments or their misleading words. You don’t need someone who doesn’t need you.
Instead of investing your time into someone who doesn’t care invest it in yourself. Start to love yourself the way you love others and start putting yourself first. You deserve your own love. You deserve to be loved back and this person will never be the one to give you their heart, and that’s fine because you don’t need it.
Never settle for half-hearted love and never need someone who doesn’t need you because you deserve more, you deserve so much more.

You are a masterpiece. You have a beating heart that thrives to fit in to this world. You have endured enough despair and heartbreak that makes you crave for a love that would finally stay. You have a deep sense of longing for yourself, wondering when you will ever be enough for the world and for yourself. You have scars within you to prove that you have fought and that you are still alive. You have demons in your head that come out at night, appearing to fight any form of light that comes through you, making you doubt if good could ever conquer evil. You have lived in a world that breathes fire and is constantly burning you alive, finding ways to extinguish the fire inside you. You have eyes that have chosen to see so much beauty in a world that is full of chaos and destruction. You have hands that have touched the purest and kindest of hearts along with the most damaged and broken of souls, attempting to save the lost.
You are not a waste of space. You are not an unfinished sentence, waiting around for people to complete you. You are not the ghosts of your past, haunting you with every regret and mistake you have ever had and done. You are not sand to be stepped over just by the mediocre people of this world. You are not glass waiting for someone to destroy you through the most vulnerable of emotions. You are not mundane. You have a wild fire inside you, waiting to be released.
You are the most exquisite form of art that anyone would be lucky enough to stare at. You are the perfect combination of paragraphs and sentences inked on paper to complete a beautiful novel. You are someone’s definition of euphoria as the sky explodes with the most vibrant of emotions as he professes his love for the ocean and together, it forms a beautiful disaster. You are the intensity of the depth of the ocean that not everyone would be able to comprehend. You have the wings of an eagle, desperate to go somewhere, anywhere at all, just to get away from the cruelty and injustice of the world. You have galaxies inside you that contain the mysteries of the world.
You are human.

When you have anxiety, you think that everyone is going to leave you.
Your mind overanalyzes everything. It’s one wrong Facebook message. One conversation where you wonder if you said too much. It’s a text unanswered that sends your mind wandering. And a call that goes right to voicemail. It’s a second text to clarify, just hoping they will answer. Even though you know you should have waited.
Anxiety is self-doubt. Anxiety is overthinking.
It’s the waiting for people to leave. It’s ruining something before it even begins. It’s goodbye without the word that becomes an expectation. It’s the nights that keep you up tossing and turning. It’s not hearing from someone for a while and thinking they are mad, even though realistically they have no reason to be. It’s an apology you don’t have to say, yet you feel you need to, just to ease your mind.
Anxiety takes a hold of you, it keeps you prisoner in your own mind. It makes you prone to pushing people away when you want them to stay. You don’t want to burden or bother them with your insecurities or worries, but you just want them to tell you that they won’t go. That they won’t walk away. They they understand.Because when your mind plays tricks on you and tells you, everyone, you care about will leave you, you don’t want to believe it, but part of you does.
Your mind convinces you that you are too clingy but the truth is that you simply care. Deeply. You care too much and think too little. You love too hard but everything about you is soft. You try and overcompensate just to give them a reason to stay.
But what you don’t realize is they are choosing to be here because they want to be. Because you aren’t as bad and intolerable and unlovable as you think you are.
Anxiety is just trying to trick you into believing you are hard to love, hard to be around, hard to keep. But if you look around for just a moment you’ll realize the people who matter haven’t gone anywhere.
Don’t listen to it. You are loved.
