Season 9 Finalists’ Portfolio Review (Part 2) & Winner Reveal

Hope you all have read Part 1 of my review of Jessica and Simone’s journey in Season 9, which I have posted yesterday. Now it is time to continue with this review:

Photo Shoot #7: Harper’s Bazaar

Evaluation: Simone did not interpret her outfit correctly whereas Jessica did. I like Simone’s close-up but her body language doesn’t work. Jessica looks effortless and let the clothing speak for itself.

Photo Shoot #8: Fashion Icons

Evaluation: Both models could have done a better job portraying their respective characters. However, Jessica delivered more of a fashion photo whereas Simone’s read a little catalog looking.

Photo Shoot #9: Simple vs Edgy

Evaluation: I love both of their shots. They certainly were the better half of the group of four that week. Jessica’s picture however, stands out to me and I felt a lot of energy coming from her.

Evaluation: I definitely prefer Simone’s photo over Jessica’s here; Jessica did not commit enough to her pose and she also did not bring enough variety to her poses. Simone’s photo is more interesting and edgier.

Photo Shoot #10: High Fashion Wedding

Evaluation: I honestly could not decide who had the better photo here; Jessica’s picture is very strong and high fashion and Simone’s photo is absolutely gorgeous. I have to give a point to both of them.

Evaluation: Both shots are very workable here but because I do think that Simone looks more relaxed in her photo, the energy that is given off in her shot works better in this collection compared to Jessica’s.

Based on the scores, the Winner of Florinda’s Next Top Model Season 9 is Jessica! Congratulations to her for winning the season! Sometime next week, Jessica will be shooting her cover of Elle Doll-world Magazine and the cover will also be released next week!

I hope you guys enjoyed the journey we had this season of FNTM. I will be taking a mini break from posting pictures of my dolls competing on FNTM. I will let you guys know in advance when I will start posting the shots from Season 8.
