How does one even get into modeling? I’m curious

I started modeling just being a model for my friend's photography class. I definitely think that helped alot, because she had a portfolio and showed it to people while trying to get a job.
Ontop of this, I ask some friends to take photos of me so I can bring my visual ideas to life, with the clothes I make and graphic design ect ect. Its mostly just for fun and film.
I dont model too often, and I think I want too later this year, but as of right now my studies are alot.
Its risky to choose an agency due to the fact that theres alot of fake agencies out there. You have to be careful, and if you get a gut feeling its wrong, then leave. Im not with an agency as of now, but i do have a manager! I would suggest getting a trustworthy manager. Im not an expert on getting into modeling 😓 I have alot of connections and opportunities when it comes to alot of things, I know alot of people and those people know more people! you know? its alot of networking. Especially in college.
