Sooyoung was pretty much Seokjin’s closest - almost only - friend. That pretty much since their first meeting. Which was rather unusual. But their friendship grew fast and clumsily; always being there to listen to the other’s problems and share some cookies. For some reasons, Seokjin never felt much awkward around the woman. Being close to her didn’t make him as nervous as it would if it was someone else. He felt comfortable. Maybe that’s for that strange reason that physical contacts with her never bothered him. He wasn’t one to be able to touch people - even a simple hand shake was too much. But with Sooyoung, it came naturally. She was just like this; warm and welcoming. So the day their hands linked as they walked side by side, - on a mission to the grocery store to buy the missing ingredients to their oatmeal chocolate chips cookies - , Seokjin didn’t feel shy. He held the woman’s hand in his, realizing how smaller and fragile she felt in his larger hand. A small smile blossomed on his lips. Seokjin wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable. Everything was alright.
