For many years it has been the tradition of presidents to give an address on the state of the nation and for many years the tradition was to state that the nation was in good health and tidings; however we choose not to recognize the unfortunate shambles the nation is in, frequently we choose not to see the cancerous poverty, likely those who do choose to notice while noble blame the problems on only one. In Federalist 10 James Madison discusses the issue of factions, now more than ever it is important to understand both why factions will inevitably destroy the county and the time at which Fed. 10 was written; currently the two largest factions are liberals and conservatives— Democrat and republican respectively. In truth America has been fractured into significantly more diverse factions and significantly more active ones: neo nazis, socialists, communists, the nra, blue collar workers, white collar workers, farmers, college students, millennials, baby boomers, etc. and that’s only a few. we praise this diversity but we can’t come to a consensus, as a nation this fractured diversity has made us unable to come to a final decision. Now it hasn’t been all bad we have made significant advances on equal rights but many want compensation for their ancestors suffering, and at face value makes sense but logically it doesn’t, why should we pay a compensation to people for our ancestors wrongdoings done to their ancestors, the only liable payment should be equality.
Again I am by no means an authority just an anonymous person wishing for my opinions to be heard
