As you can already see, it's a huge home. Check out the chess board in the floor. (If you're like me, you can always play checkers.)

The living room is so big, a grand piano fits in with tons of room to spare. Like the separating wall- you could use the shelving for books or display.

Beautiful modern fireplace is situated between 2 rooms.

Doesn't this dining area look like a bistro? It has a long banquette, and would be great for entertaining.

Love this remodeled apt. in Sweden. Look at this building! 

From the antique elevator, you can see the mural at the entrance to the apt. down the hall. 

Entering the apt., there’s a colorfully arranged book case wall to the right, and straight ahead is a sliding door to the bedroom with a cool mural. 

Bright living room/kitchen combo. Love the area rug and mix of velvet and leather chairs.

The kitchen remodel is great with it’s bright and shiny turquoise backsplash. Plus, love the retro kitchen set and lamp. 

The plants have it good- heat, sun, and a wide window sill. Mine are jealous. 

The main bedroom’s a little tight, but there’s a big closet and the room gets good natural light. 

This is the best solution- built-in furniture.

From the bdm., a desk area is visible.

Perfectly fits in a hall niche.

Here’s an apt. that was designed to be both rough and elegant. The industrial vibe starts with preserving the original cement ceiling and exposed electrical conduits. 

Love the bright blue, but there’s something about that plaid sofa. It’s modern, but looks like a comfy flannel shirt.

The kitchen island was divided into two parts: One side faces the wall for cooking and the other side faces the living room as a dining area, and a bar for entertaining. Behind the island is a customized trellis glass case displaying their son’s Lego collection.

The room was designed to increase interactions between people.

Around the room is shelving for interesting displays. 

The floor plan was redesigned to give views of all the rooms, but the sliding door in the master bedroom also provides privacy. 

Plenty of closets between the en-suite master bath and bedroom. 

Love the contrast of the delicate patterns in the tile against the sleek modern bath.

Beautifully decorated apt. in Sweden is gray & white, with whimsical art. 

This is a real cook’s kitchen- look at the selection of knives.

The stove has 9 knobs. 

Love the cabinets- you don’t usually see drawers unless they’re custom made.

In the living room is huge painting of a chimp relaxing in the grass. Love that.

Very nice wall unit. I don’t know, could you put chairs under there? They look a little narrow. If not, then I’d rather block them.

Nice terrace off the living room.

Wonder if she’s someone they know. 

The closet doors have delicate thin molding and fleur de lis accents.

It looks like the paintings are original, by the looks of the easel in the bedroom.

This is sooooo cool. It’s a modern, renovated studio/loft apt. in Paris that is located in this historic building.

Check out the entrance. Can you imagine coming home to this? 

Then, you go up to this fabulous modern apt. It has everything you need and it’s so stylish.

I like this layout- my apt. has the kitchen under the loft, too. 

 Love it. And, it’s even got a classic subway tile backsplash. 

The bathroom is surprisingly large, too.

This trendy and unusual apt. has patinated walls, glass pane panels and the perfect furnishings to pull everything together.

Sleek, modern black & white kitchen. I like the black appliances breaking up the white cabinetry. The rustic beams are painted a glossy black and I like the floral arrangements on the console table that’s used as an island. Very chic.

The very stylish master bedroom brick wall ties in with the living room’s partially cement covered technique.

Love the flooring and shower- again everything ties in- the shower has a glass paned wall to match the rest of the apt.

Upstairs, they’ve used the small attic as a walk-in closet.

Fernanda & Daniel live in an industrial high rise apt. Even though the architect intended the cement walls & surfaces to be decorated in the industrial style, they chose a colorful artsy approach.

The living room is modern and minimalist.

The dining room has assorted bright chairs and floor to ceiling bookshelving that adds color. It’s unusual how the architect chose to give each room different flooring, rather than the flow of one pattern. 

The sunroom area is in front of the kitchen and is an indoor/outdoor combination.

The galley kitchen has cement countertops and a deep yellow feature wall.

The bath is small and features a shower. It, too, has sliding doors.
