I feel like you’re the only person I’ve seen talk about this blackface thing in the fandom. Tbh I’m really disappointed right now

like look I can understand why people probably aren’t talking about it because they don’t want antis using it against GOT7 because it wasn’t any of the boys who did it so they don’t want it twisted especially with all the previous accusations of them being racist

however as much as I understand it, I don’t condone it and yeah I’m also disappointed that others seems to just be disregarding it just because it wasn’t one of the members

like this still reflects badly on their image because it happened on their reality show, this doesn’t just magically go away just cause people wanna ignore it yknow?

I remember my friend showed me the 2015 dream concert and when I told her I didn’t like one of the performances she got annoyed and said they don’t know better... which is a dumb excuse cause it you’re gonna take from the black culture you need to properly educate yourself to understand the complex issues behind dreads and the « n word » so you don’t offend your fans and the people of color who’ve paved the roads so that kpop artists can create and express lit ass music but I digress

Yeah alot of kpop fans, especially non poc fans are very quick to defend idols that has done something wrong without thinking and if you really love the idol, you would call them out on their bullshit. For me while I love Red Velvet, I just don't like Wendy because of what she did. She's a disgusting person

I just saw your post on being a black kpop fan and I totally agree... I’m just currently getting into it, but I’ve known about kpop for a few years now and the only reason why I never checked it out was the blatant appropriation and a lot of the content made me uncomfortable (1/2)
