I thought you might have confused it with the Hyksos invasion that happened around 1800 BC but well, that was not the case.

Yes, Sub-Saharan Africans had taken over Egypt many times throughout its 3000 year history (along with many other powers around the Mediterranean sea). But it wasn't a racially 'pure' state.
