Hey guys!
As you should know if you've been reading the policy posts and reminders we've been making over the past six or so months, we've been struggling with members sending "concerns" about the group and particularly about other members on anon, which led to us reaching the point of even going so far as to make it policy back at the beginning of January to not use anon for feedback asks.
Unfortunately, the volume of anons we've received has worsened in the past month or so and despite a few more reasonable asks that we've addressed or are still planning on addressing soon, the vast majority of them have been vague, rude, or otherwise mean.
We want to make it clear that we want to be able to help you guys if you have concerns, but sending things to the tune of "x members are bad" or "x things need to change" with no details about what the members are doing or actual suggestions on how to solve your issue are not helpful.
If you think a member did something wrong or has a bad history in another setting, you need to come off of anon and share the details you can so that we can pose follow-up questions, provide explanations to you if what the member is doing isn't against the rules, and, if done privately, communicate to you when we've taken action so that no assumptions are made regarding what actions we have or haven't taken.
Either way, we made a warning late last year that if the anons continued, we would consider closing anon on the masterlist for a little while and we've decided to take that step now. While we understand this may be disruptive for people that reserve on anon, we will be disabling anon on the blog until sometime in the middle of March. We'll re-enable it at that time and if the anons resume again, we will extend that period.
If you have any serious concerns during this time, you can send them to the masterlist as normal, by using the #staff-questions channel in the server, or by reaching out to a mod with the "Contact me!" role in the server!
