How about this for a Marina? Everything I’ve seen in Qatar is done with thought and style. Nothing is left to chance. In the same way the infrastructure is being built first for the new city Lusail, preparations for the World Cup. I’ve had a great time over here (few hangovers and then long days), met some great people who very keen to attract investment. Scrap merchants dream. We were inside this steel works factory, huge. What surprised me most was the amount of waste laying around. Wouldn’t happen in the UK. However, the owner was very enthusiastic, promised us if we wanted to use his factory he can have it cleared out with 2 weeks. All the people we have met here are very pro business and keen for investment. With wages low, investment packages very attractive, and land prices so low it makes sense. More site visits to come.
