Imagine if Fern could have sprouted out of the base of the new treehouse and been completely fine. He could’ve had a cool cameo in Distant Lands where he grows into his own person. The potential was THERE!!
Here’s my idea for a Fern lives AU but where he’s still stuck being half grass! I like to think that the tree sheds him a body every now and then, where he gently or subtly changes his style based on his mood.
