With Benji out and exploring the town it left Max with an opportunity to just hang out with his daughter, of course there was only so much he could do with a two and a half month old baby. They couldn’t even lift their heads, sometimes she would try and her head would just plop back onto the blanket making him laugh.
It reminded him of one of those headstand dolls his sister used to have when they were kids, the one that had a heavy head so that if you held it by its body it would flop forward or backwards depending on whichever way you held it up.
Right now he’d decided on the park, a blanket spread out and some toys as she laid on her tummy and reached for one of the toys, a rattle shaped like a donut with ridges all along it.
Beside him was Storm laid on the blanket chewing on a bone and for the most part ignoring Luna unless she made a noise, then she would lift her head with a tilt and stare for a few seconds before going back to chewing.
Max was so busy watching his daughter that he didn’t realizing anyone was approaching, stuck in his own world.
