Mo goes straight to the shower when he gets home from work. He doesn't even say hello, and you don't stop him. It must have been a bad day. It seems like he can't go more than a week without someone making a scene, insisting he was guilty. Exoneration doesn't mean much when he can't go out in public without being accused. Once a lie has been repeated so many times as fact, there's not much you can do about it.

You give him his space, then while he's still in the shower, you remember there are no towels in there because you just did a load. You've been staying with Mo for a few weeks and he hasn't made a move. He's just this week shown you some physical affection, lying with you on the mattress with an arm over you one night. And as soon as you felt something twitch against your back, he pulled away and went back into the closet.

You haven't seen each other naked and it feels inappropriate to barge in on him, but he will need a towel. Wanting to help but not intrude, you quietly bring in a stack of fresh towels and hang one right outside the shower door. You can't help but pause and admire his hulking back. You're in a daze, watching his muscles flex as he washes himself, then he senses you and looks back.

“Sorry,” you look away. “I was just bringing some towels." He turns all the way around, and his chest rises and falls as he looks at you. He doesn't cover himself.

“It's okay.” You try not to look, but it's clear from your peripheral vision that he’s big all over.

“Are you okay?” He asks with the water still raining down on him.

You nod. “Are you?”

He's quiet for a moment then mutters, “I will be.” a few seconds later, he quietly adds, “with you.” The way he's looking at you gives you a surge of confidence and you begin to take off your clothes. When you're naked, you step in and he wraps his arms around you, engulfing you with his strong, soft body. And when you feel him twitch against you, you hold him tighter so he doesn't pull away.
