Crab Fire Agate

note: I haven't found an agate that’s just called red agate, so I’m posting the agates that I found that have red in them.

Color: Various shades of red with orange, yellow, or white lines. The lighter colored ones look like cracked crab shells and the darker colored ones like like embers.  

Mohs: 6.5 - 7

Chemical formula of quartz: SiO2

Metaphysical properties: Aid memory,  assist one in finding the right partner,  protection in general and from anger, jealousy and fear. Brings good luck.

Since Crab Fire Agate has a lot of metaphysical properties that would contradict to the belief that agates are meant to terrify I think this would be a good agate to be a crystal gem. This agate wouldn't like their job because she would be a lot more caring and protective of their quartzes then an agate was supposed to be. Personality-wise she would want her quartzes to be happy, and would try to set up quartez that have crushes on each other on long patrols with each other hoping at least one of them would make a move. she would try to protect her quartzes from anger, and fear. She would also help other quartzes on her battalion get over jealousy of other quartzes strength or if the quartz they liked romantically was with someone else. These traits have a down side though, her involvement in her quartzes lives can be annoying to the quartzes and would be an out cast. If she stayed with homeworld they would not give her praise for her work since she is not displaying normal agate behavior but they wouldn't punish her for her behavior since her quartzes are some of the best fighters they have because of the way she treats them. If she was a crystal gem she would be happy and grateful that they would accept her into the rebellion so she could finally be who she was, and would fight hard for the rebellion. She would probably be a good friend of Garnet, spending their free time talking about their ships.   

Where found: Northern mexico and the southern west of america.

Aventurine

Colors: The most common color of Aventurine is green, but it may also be orange, brown, yellow, blue, or gray due to inclusions. Oranges and brown Aventurines are caused by inclusions of hematite or goethite. Aventurine is often banded and a lot of fuchsite may render it opaque, which makes it be mistaken for malachite at first glance.

Mohs: 6.5 - 7

Chemical formula for quartz: SiO2  

Chemical formula for hematite: Fe2O3

Chemical formula for goethite: FeO(OH)

Chemical formula for fuchsite:  K(Al,Cr)2(AlSi3O10)(OH)2

Metaphysical properties: enhances creativity, and imagination, as well as intellect and mental clarity, prosperity, friendship. Brings luck, especially in games of chance.

I think this would translate to a gem that is creative, a thinker, maybe a philosophical like gem? But since Aventurine is a quartz it would most likely have been a warrior gem. But probably looked deeper in the reason why they were fighting. They would probably be lucky, but in away they wouldn't notice like instead of winning the lottery they would never trip during a battle. Smarter aventurines would most likely use their luck and knowledge to count cards.

Where found: most green and blue-green aventurine originates in India. Aventurines that are creamy white, gray and orange is  found in Chile, Spain and Russia.  

Extra fact: The name aventurine derives from the Italian word "a ventura" meaning "by chance."

Autumn Jasper (also called  Epidot)

Color: Autumn colors, like red, orange or brown. Can have gray or green in them too.

Mohs: 6.5 - 7

Chemical formula for Jasper: SiO2  

Metaphysical properties:  It provides supports during times of stress and inspires tranquility and wholeness. It encourages a strong connection to the earth.

I think this would translate to a jasper that would help other gems after battles and try to calm them down, kinda like the therapist friend of the group. I think they would feel bad about what the kindergartens and homeworld is doing to the earth and try to fix it. If she is apart of homeworld i think she would try to bring some life back into the kindergartens on her off time or if she is a crystal gem; she would fight the best she can. But still feel bad about the impact the battles have one the earth. Mabey she would be a recruiter?

Agua Nueva Agate

Colors: red, pink, lavender, and gold banding patterns.

Mohs scale: 6.5 - 7

Chemical formula for agate: SiO2  

Metaphysical properties: protective stone and strong connection to earth.

I think in Steven Universe this would translate to a agate who would be protective of her quartzs but in away like, “You can't hurt my quartzs! I'm the only one that can hurt them.” Maybe they like earth?

Where it's found?: This Agate is found in Mexico.

I think this would be a good agate to be pink diamond’s agate. I think a agate made on earth wouldn't be as abusive as the other agates. At the most she would just be like the scary principal that would secretly care about her students, but she would never let anyone know.

African Sea Green Agate

Color: dark green neon green markings.

Mohs scale: 6.5 - 7

Chemical formula for agate: SiO2  

Metaphysical properties: Increases security and self confidence, enhances mental and emotional flexibility and improves decision making.

I'm not sure how this would translate to as agates are represented to be Steven Universe, maybe stuck up, can adapt to situations very quickly, makes good decisions in how to attack and when.

Where is it found?: This agate only occurs in Africa.
