@betterscience liked for a starter.
Sombra wasn’t sure entirely how long she had been gone. It was a thought that unnerved her, having forgotten everything that had happened in Hive City and suddenly remembering it all upon her return. And the reasoning as to why she’d been taken then brought back remained, as it was in the beginning, a mystery. It made her brain hurt, in a way it usually only did when her augmentations needed a bit of calibrating-- She’d done it after arrival to make sure.
If ever there were a comforting thought, however, it was that there was still at least one friendly face kicking around the city. Or, rather, her apartment, which Sombra knew immediately to still be inhabited by a certain scientist almost as soon as she walked in.
Standing in the living room for a second or two, Sombra migrated to the kitchen, where she took one look at the contents of the fridge before letting out a loud sigh. The thing was nearly empty. Not much had changed, but luckily for her, there was still a fair amount of coffee grounds left in the pantry to put on a pot. The poor coffee maker had certainly seen better days.
Measuring out just enough for a few cups, adding water, then pressing the brew button, Sombra turned back around and hopped to sit on the counter adjacent to the coffee maker. All that was left was to get Moira’s attention.
❝ O’Deorain! ❞ She shouted, feigning panic, in case the geneticist happened to be asleep. ❝ It’s an emergency, come out quick! ❞
