I didn’t like the answer about Violet either. It’s like they were trying to paint her with the same brush as Jane, when Violet has never really come across like that? I don’t consider her a “hardened survivor” or that being with her means Clem doesn’t care about enjoying life. That was a really bizarre answer imo.

Yeah, and none of the choices between Louis and Violet thusfar have had anything to do with either of those values?? It’s just been who you like more? Wanting to go hunting vs wanting to go fishing, wanting to go to the clock tower with Vi vs wanting to do work on a “project” with Louis, neither of those are like ENJOY LIFE OR SURVIVAL ONLY???, they’re literally just which character you wanna hang out with lol. Even appealing to Louis vs Violet in ep 1 is obviously just about which character you think Clementine has a closer bond with, or perhaps which character you think you can get to turn on Marlon quicker.

Sure Louis is obviously more jovial/playful in general than Violet is, he and Violet are different people and the tone of their relationship with Clementine is different, but that’s different than it being about whether the player or Clementine prefers “enjoying life” or “just surviving”. I’d like to think Clementine can enjoy life with either of them, lol jeeze.

Yeah to me it definitely feels like a “get the ones you missed before we move on” because they’re spawning a lot of Kanto mon that were very uncommon during the initial Gen 1 run in the game. Adding another gen will make it that much more difficult to complete the Kanto dex if you haven’t already, so I imagine that’s probably why they’re doing this.
