What were they like before they got to be couriers? What are they really good at? Are there any mundane tasks they like to do? How often do they bathe? How do they feel about mutants and ghouls? What are their favorite animals in the wasteland? Each just sneezed a bunch of snot on a powerful person. How do they react?
Laura wasn't much, honestly. She mostly stayed at home with her aging mother, helping her tend the home and places around it. Then caps started getting really tight so she tried looking for more heavy-duty types of work to earn more. None of those odd jobs really lasted long, and the only thing she really took away from it all was to learn to be as diverse as possible. Then the courier job opened up and the rest is history. Zoe was much the same, though the town she was living in at the time was a bit larger than what Laura had been residing in. She didn't live in the Mojave, but close enough that travelling to it wasn't too much of a stretch. She was studying medicine of all types in her town, until she'd gone through everything they had on the subject. She wanted to get out and see if she could find more, and upon seeing a courier spot open up, figured she might as well earn a few caps here and there while doing it! It was a win-win; she got to travel, AND make money! Lance, though, was significantly more boring than both of the girls, if that's even possible. He was pretty much wasting away, and the only thing that got him up off of his butt was a mid-life crisis. Courier running was the only job he could get his hands on, and alas, here he is.
Laura is pretty good to talking to people, even if she acts like she doesn't like it. Nothing satisfies her more than being able to sway the outcome of a situation without barely moving her finger. This being said, its a bit hard to lose track of who the good guy is and isn't, so she tries her hardest to keep her head on straight. Maybe that's why she avoids conversation when she can. Zoe is good at patching people up, even if she shyly tells you that it was "nothing much". She doesn't have her bearings with complex medicinal techniques and the like (though she wants to get them as soon as possible), but she's more than happy to help you with that infection or bullet wound! Or gecko bite, what have you. And Lance. Lance is good at worrying. He may LOOK like nothing bothers him, but he's really kind of a worrywort. Even if its just about what he's going to do in the next year, he's always thinking, all the time.
They all bathe as often as they possibly can. If they have to resort to using the small pools scattered throughout the waste, they will (but not without checking the radioactivity first). Laura and Zoe are most at home in a motel or casino room, where at least there's the privacy of being in your own room as opposed to being in the birthday suit in the middle of the desert. Lance doesn't care nearly as much, and if you catch him in a puddle, he'll hide himself with a hand and yell at you for a few minutes. Or stare disconcertingly until you get weirded out and leave.
Lance is...okayish with most super mutants and nightkins, but ghouls creep him the hell out. Luckily he knows better than to say that to their faces. Laura and Zoe have a soft spot for both, Zoe even more so. She has no problems running over and chatting them up over anything under the sun. Even if some of them lie about being from before the war, she'll humour them. Its fun to imagine what things must've been like!
They all adore dogs. Laura a little less than the other two, though. They all consider them good company. Zoe, though, is content with spending time with any animal so long as they don't bite.
AND FOR THE SNEEZING...I think Laura would die a little inside. For a minute that facade she wears on the Strip would dissolve and she'd frantically mumble her apologies while offering them something to clean off with. She'd then try her absolute best to avoid them for the rest of the evening, and would be thoroughly embarrassed.
Zoe would be embarrassed as well, though her apologies would be much louder. She wouldn't cry, but her voice would probably go up in pitch and her face would pinch in the most apologetic look you've ever seen. Even if they had to shriek IT'S OKAY!! at her she'd still apologize.
And Lance would offer them a tissue or a scrap of cloth to use like one, and would try his best to make a joke out of the situation. He'd be a little embarrassed, naturally, but would let it roll of his back. And if he received a rude response, he'd just scoff. Geeze man, lighten up. Bc
