Bridal Mask - Celebration of Kang To & Mok Dan PART 4

Kang To and Mok Dan are what I would call a 'warm' couple. Their love is entrenched in the feeling of home, of protectiveness and of comfort. Passion and spark is great, but after battling the world - nothing beats the warmth of the hearth.

these two are truly each other's pillars. the world around them may be in chaos, yet with a look, a gesture, a stolen moment - they manage to communicate all their love and dreams for a better tomorrow.

how great is it when the hero realizes and acknowledge that his strength comes from the woman by his side? seeing this scene, makes me realize how far they've come and grown to trust one another. the way kang to instinctively turned to shield mok dan from news of damsari's death, literally acting as buffer between her and death... its such a small moment, but incredibly poignant. 

seeing this hurts. just thinking that in the future after a hard battle, there will be no one there waiting anxiously for his return, no one there to tend to his wounds, no one to confide in. because no matter how strong kang to is as a hero, he really needs mok dan's warmth to keep him grounded.

CONFESSION from Officer Lee Kang To?!

The amazing scene when Mok Dan discovers her young master is actually Kang To. There were some weak moments in JSY's portrayal of Mok Dan,but this was pitch perfect. I felt her complete disbelief, anger and pain. What a disillusionment to find out that the dream lover you've been pining for is totally different in reality.

And then to be presented with THIS!

The cinematography for this show is so gorgeous. and look at the expression on his face - total devotion *melts*

Bridal Mask - Celebration of Kang To & Mok Dan PART 1

Discovering Boon Yi's Identity. This was the only faux pas for me. I wasn't overjoyed at the childhood love story, however slowly but surely they won me over with their sincerity.

Bottling Up the Pain at her misunderstanding of him. Although much deserved after his horrific treatment of her, it hurts my heart to see how wounded he is whenever Mok Dan lashes out. Its one thing to not care about someone's opinion of you, quite another to hear the woman you love call you the traitor's mutt.
