Do they have any specific memories of food/a restaurant/meal?
I like to think Emiko tries making meals by herself from time to time, so one day he jokingly asked her to make his lunch for a field trip, and she actually did it. And he felt really bad but he loved it, and whatever it was (it probably had cucumber because he loves them), it always reminds him of their companionship since then, so it’s another of those sentimental things.
What makes them sad? Do they cry regularly? Do they cry openly or hide it? What are they like they are sad?
Failing at things and getting picked on, mostly. Also when he’s not taken seriously and/or ignored, but above all when anyone makes fun of the things he secretly likes, it just makes him even more insecure about admitting he likes those things (especially crossdressing).
He’s very defensive though so he looks more angry than sad at first, like he either gets upset or uncomfortable and leaves, and then he cries. He thinks he will be taken even less seriously if he’s seen crying, so he keeps his anguish to himself till he’s in his room, and even then, it’s not a very open cry. Just some silent tears and muffled sobbing while hugging a pillow.
What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?
Definitely the earliest piece of Nyaa-chan merch he asked his father to get for him. Not much because of Nyaa-chan herself but because of what she represents, a common interest/bonding thing with Choromatsu (even though they clearly don’t adore Nyaa-chan the same way).
Maybe he wanted one of those caps with cat ears but of course it wouldn’t fit properly back then.
Either that or Choromatsu got him his own glow stick and he still cherishes it to this day.
If they could only take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?
His phone, a portable charger, a charger for the portable charger, a spare charger just in case, a notebook, a pencil case and money. Oh, and his headphones.
And then he would realize halfway that he left the inhaler at home. But damn he sure remembered to download all those 10000000000000 Nyaa-chan songs into the phone.
