this anon is so meaningless and semantic but this is a huge pet peeve of mine; lots of mold is black. there are so many species of mold. many of them are dark, and this ubiquitous, poisonous "black mold" of which people speak is nothing. the black or dark green mold that grows in showers is most commonly a strain of cladosporium, which is generally not toxic. the worst it will do is give you a rash or a clogged nose if you happen to have an allergy. the "scary" mold people are usually actually referring to is aspergillis, a huge group containing many species. some strains of aspergillis cause respiratory issues from prolonged or extreme exposure.
