Which place comes to your mind first when you hear the beach and party?🏖️🍻 Goa!!!! Most of us will anonymously say it. It has been on everyone's bucket list for the last few decades. A very close competition to Thailand when comes to the party scenes succeeds to draw the young crown from all parts of the country. I lost count of times I have been to Goa. Availability of overnight buses and trains made Goa into an impromptu, fun long weekend gateway among the 9-5 crowd of Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune. But how many of you know Goa beyond happening beaches, shacks, parties, and booze? Do you know Goa has a rich Portuguese heritage, bohemian communities, and lush greeneries? Yes, most of Goa is part of the Western Ghats which is one of the world's eight “hottest hotspots” of biological diversity recognized by @unesco . The beauty of the lesser unknown part of Goa which is full of forests, waterfalls, secluded beaches is unmatched. But next time you plan to visit Goa, you might not find any of it. Goa is in danger. Forests are being destroyed in the name of development. While I am a pro-development person, all we want is better planning and administration which fuels the development as well as doesn't destroy an entire forest. Let me not write it again as you will find plenty of resources on google. I will link some of them in my stories. Go through them and decide yourself if want to stand with the people of Goa. To all my friends who were super concerned about US presidential elections in the last few days, maybe it's time to look a little closer to home now since the verdict is out now. Talking about it might make you less intellectual as it is yet to get any political color, but it is something which is going to impact us all. 📷 @ghorui.tarun #mytravellingstilettos #savemollem #mollem @save_mollem (at Goa, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHVcJmKHuR7/?igshid=1fetfudk4w6qi
