Stronger than a Snowflake Welp, got inspired again and wrote a Mordred fic
It does have a bit of a MoMash undertone, but it can be read as platonic as more than focusing on the romance I wanted to explore an idea post Solomon I had for Mash and Mordred
MoMash HC Time
I always like to imagine that after Solomon, Mash was quite justifiably devasted over losing Romani on top of losing most of Galahad's powers which made her feel useless and lost. Of course Mash still held the ability to use what was left of Galahad's powers, but that process took a massive strain on her body so basically everyone went against that despite her wanting to still help.
Because of that she seeked someone to help her properly control those powers during the events of the Epic of Remnant which ended up being Mordred. Now Mash chose to secretely ask Mordred help with that because at that point the two were friends and she was among the people who had previously helped Mash directly.
Another reason why Mash asked Mordred instead of one of the Teachers of Chaldea or even another Knight of the Round Table who properly knew how to train squires was because Mordred wouldn't treat her "As if she was made of Glass", not because she didn't care, but because she wouldn't be constantly worried about hurting Mash, and while People like Lancelot and Da Vinci obviously care a lot about her, they wouldn't truly allow her to push herself that far and be proper guides during that delicate time for her.
Which is why, while the Master was dealing with the EORs, Mash would often sneak into the simulator with Mordred to try to control what she had left of Galahad's essence in order to be "useful" once more... And in a way also helping her cope with the death of her Father by having someone she could hit hard, which also leads to the two growing closer during such time
love you ash 🥰🥺 thanks for being our mom ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Have you had water to drink today? Have you had enough to eat? I cooked pork chops, come over for dinner so I can hassle you about getting out more. Or less. I'm honestly not sure which any longer.

I do NOT have McDonald's money
Hi! I’m starting a new job tomorrow and am a little stressed, would you mind a few words of encouragement? 😊
Sure! Keep in mind that you are not going to be expected to have completely nailed the job before you’ve even finished your first few days. Tomorrow is going to be all about getting to know the expectations for your position, maybe learning passwords/logins if you use a computer, and then starting to orient yourself. You’ll fill out a bunch of paperwork, too, if it’s anything like my jobs have been.
Tomorrow lets you take a look at the way the business runs and where your place will be within it, that’s all. Take a deep breath, try not to be too nervous. You got this.
Before you know it, everything that will seem so intimidating tomorrow will come as second nature, you’ll nail it.
But you don’t do or die based on your first day on the job. Tomorrow is all about learning, and getting yourself ready for the road ahead. You got this!
On one hand, I often imagine that Salter is very overprotective over Britomart because she didn't get to meet her in life as chances are Guinevere had her Months after the fall of Camelot, thus making her subtly treat her as if she was a child in an attempt to bond with her, which is also why she would be more open about letting Mordred "go" and experience various things as she had gotten time to properly meet him and understand Mordred.
On top of that, she had very little issues actually letting Mordred begin dating Mash as besides the fact that their feelings were mutual, Salter had gotten to know Mash since basically Orleans and came to truly trusts her as someone Amelia values deeply and cares for, someone she knows would make her son happy.
... But at the same time I often imagine that on a random day Mash just gave Salter some food she prepared as a way to "thank her" for everything she does and the moment she tastes what Mash made, she just immediately grabs Mordred like "You will marry this girl" and didn't elaborate further
