I played Qwirkle for the first time at the game night at the National Museum of Mathematics! I got 7 or 8 Qwirkles in the whole game- can you believe that?!!

The picture is slightly messed up (some of the tiles got moved on the right). I had so much fun and tonight just reminded me how much I love the museum.

And what’s a math game night without a game of Set? I also did plenty of that but it was a low key first game ever for me :)

Harmony of Spheres at the Museum of Mathematics. It looks hella cool and super interesting, but unfortunately, I don’t know how it works. Sorry, but math is hard and I wish I understood because math is necessity. I need a kid to figure this out for me. Am I right?

I’m shadowing the executive director & CEO of the National Museum of Mathematics today for an essay contest I’m entering. I got to listen to a staff training and it actually ended up being a SUPER interesting talk on some of the exhibits. I liked learning about how you can teach calculus concepts without any of the math-y terminology!
