#MoMMovie It is one of the best movie of Sridevi's career and her role is quite strong. The movie starts with the story of a school teacher Devki, who is the stepmom of Arya; who is finding it difficult to accept devki as her MOM. One night Arya go to a posh farm area in Delhi to party on a valentine's eve and on the eve whaterver happens with Arya changes the life of the whole family. The 1st half is quite heavy and sometimes it becomes difficult to watch while feeling their pain. I just loved the 1st half as it builds up the story without much dialogues but with strong visuals. The best scene of the movie was the car scene in which Arya got kidnapped and assaulted by so called MARD of our society. This scene doesn't only bring lump in my throat but i shivers and also gets a weird feeling as if something has stuck inside me. The screams of Arya and crying of Devki will give you goosebumps and tears. The 2nd half is quite predictable as its a revenge story. But the way she took revenge is quite interesting and it gives us the message that the rapist should be given such kind of punishment then only they will realize their mistakes. Overall, its a great movie with minor loopholes which you can ignore as it has some superlative acting not only by Sridevi but also by Pakistani actress Sajan Ali as Arya. It was good to see Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a differnt avatar as he not only help in moving the story but also brings out a dark humor / comic relief in this heavy movie. In a short role as police Akshay Khanna was quite good and Pakistani actor Adnan SiddIqui as Arya father was impressive. The debutante director Ravi Udyawar has done a phenomenal job in showing this story in a hard hitting but a subtle way, where the expressions were louder than any actions and it was enough to convey the message. The background music was quite haunting and apt for this movie so kudos to the legendry A.R.Rehman for this. So, go and watch it if you are looking for a serious yet impactful movie.
