financial district personal reflections
since all the buildings are tall, i think they really give the street a towering and intimidating feel. walking down the street, it is a very small and narrow strip, which also adds to the intimidation factor. all the buildings in the area have similar architecture. i think for being so important, the trade building should look a little different, even though it stands out a little since it is the head of the area.

rookery personal reflections
i found this building to look a slightly different style than most of wrights other buildings, maybe because he just renovated it. looking at the redesigns, everything is much brighter, giving it a much lighter feeling to the building. I think they used to use elegant colors to hide the shadiness. i also thought it was an ironic contrast of the bright interior that housed shady deals. there was a geometric skylight that i was i love with. i also liked that they used designs from old building on remodel
