Monaco au, what happens then?

Daniel going to Max and complaining about Lando acting childish, and he expects Max to roll his eyes. Expects him to listen and give some advice on how to crack lando's code but Max just glares at him and hits him with, "You cheated on him, what did you expect?"

Daniel is floored by it. He has no idea what Max is talking about but then Max has screenshots from Lando. Screenshots of the pictures and the "I'm sorry" text and it's like a punch to the face because even Dan can see how that reads and he is just instantly up and moving.

He ends up at Lando's, and Lando almost doesn't let him in but it's Daniel. Even if he's hurt, he still has feelings for him and Daniel looks devastated and he's babbling for a chance to explain so Lando lets him in. Daniel just hands him his phone and tells him to look at their messages, and Lando does, but Lando just shrugs and says "So you deleted it for you? Why so you could feel good?"

Daniel just shakes his head and then pulls up messages from that celebrity that he was hanging out with and shows Lando where she admits that she did it because "I always get what I want, and I want you"

Lando is a little overwhelmed but he just double checks like "You...you didn't cheat?", and Daniel is there cupping his face like "Baby no, not even in my dreams. I only think and dream of you, you're who I want. She sat in my lap to take a selfie and I pushed her away because I was uncomfortable"

Lando's a little wary but he knows Daniel isn't lying, and melts into the hug Daniel offers him with a soft "I missed you so fucking much"

Dando Monaco Au🙈 (thought about it today and miss it)

Lando comes back after hiding at his parents. Daniel is so relieved that he is back but doesn't know if he should approach him or just leave him alone and leaves the next meet up in Lando's hands

I'm going to give a new idea for this because I had said previously that Dan breaks the ice and flys to England to ask Lando what's wrong and to tell Lando he likes him.

Daniel and Lando having the moment where the celebrity is flirting with Daniel and feeling jealous. He is reassured when Dan makes it known that he is his....but then there is this girl who won't leave Daniel alone. She's in the friend group, and Dan doesn't notice the way she treats Lando or how she speaks to Dan. He just laughs it off because 'it's an inside joke'

But it isn't funny when she sends pics to Lando of her sitting on Daniel's lap during a night out where Lando is back in the uk. Lando shuts down a little, especially when Dan stops answering his texts and send him an 'Im sorry' at 4am which makes Lando think the worst. Instead of going home when he said he would be, Lando extends his time in England claiming 'work', and doesn't answer Daniel's texts

Daniel thinks its weird, but after seeing the picture that the girl posted, he assumes Lando saw it and might be a little jealous so he gives him space. He doesn't know that the girl sent and deleted the 'sorry' text so Dan has no idea that Lando has assumed the worst has actually happened

So when Lando comes back, Dan still gives him space but days turn into a week and suddenly Max is asking Dan "why would you do that?" and Dan is so confused

After Lando runs back to England and starts avoiding Daniel, Dan realises that they're both being ridiculous and that they should go for what they want now and be happy with each other so he decides to be the one to run to Lando

He shows up and surprises Lando at the factory and doesn't let Lando hide. He just steps into Landos room at the MTC, and says 'Hi, so something went wrong between us and I hate that your avoiding me but I can stand another minute without you knowing I like you and if you don't stop me, I'm gonna kiss you now'

And Lando just goes bright red and his in shock and awe but all he can do is nod and wrap his arms around Daniel who is moving in for the kiss

It fits so well! Especially with Lando having yo leave Monaco because he's heart broken. Leaving Daniel behind and trying to move on but everything just hurts but he still wants to try

And then there's Daniel trying to give time and space in hopes they come together

So glad Monaco au is back!! When Lando’s back in England, maybe Daniel tries to get in contact with Lando’s mum because he’s so worried and Cisca just realizes that this man is so gone for her son and her idiot of a son is running away from what could be his forever

Daniel worrying about Lando when he disappears and just wanting to k ow he's okay so he tries to contact Lando. All his messages are left on read and Landos socials are all very quiet

So Daniel uses a number he has but thought he'd never have to use: Cisca's. Lando had told him that his mum wanted him to have her name in case of emergencies where Daniek might need to reach her

He feels bad about it but he reaches put to her anyway and calls her just to seebif Lando is okay.

Cisco reassures him Lando is fine and is just so touched by how sweet Daniel seems and she can tell by the questions he is asking and the way he speaks that this man is gone for her son and she needs to give the pouty little gremlin a kick to get him to realise what's waiting for him in monaco

Monaco Dando being back in the factory for the first time since they got together and everyone is like 👀👀 why are they so close until Charlotte (the queen in all of the au‘s) figured it out and teases them and Dando is like well no point in hiding it now so they tell their mclaren family

Them having just gotten together and still being in the honeymoon phase. So they're really close, and touchy, and Lando doesn't even flinch or complain anytime Dan ruffles his hair.

Maybe someone even sees them hugging, and Dan rocking Lando a little and it starts off the rumour mill. Mainly out of concern, because they know Lando moved to Monaco and they're worried their little gremlin is having a hard time and maybe Daniel is giving him a shoulder to lean on

But Charlotte doesn't buy that. She sees how Dan watches Lando with a soft smile, and how his hands linger on Lando when they touch and it's when Lando lets out this little, cute giggle as he's staring at Daniel, it hits her: her two dumbasses are dating

And of course when asked, Lando squeaks and gets awkward while Dan is laughing and just pulling Lando in for a cuddle to soothe him while going 'cats out of the bag jellybean, they got us'

For sure their mechanics tease the shit out of them, but they're also so supportive and loving and McLaren even add the rainbow back to the halo without telling them as a little surprise for them and it makes Dan and Lando so weak for their found family

Idea for Monaco Dando where Daniel is filming a Quadrant video with Lando and the gang and everyone is just gushing over how cute they are

Lando shyly asking Daniel if he'll do one of those couples do each others makeup videos or something like that with him for Quadrant. Maybe Ria is dating someone and she suggested it and asked Lando.

And Daniel is 100% down because he knows its going to be chaotic and hilarious.

The whole video filming sees Daniel being like 'baby just sit on my lap so you can reach better' when lando is like standing with legs either side of Dan's knees, and Lando is blushing. Daniel can't stop giving him small kisses and giggling when he leaves lipstick marks on landos face like 'you gotta keep that on, proof that you're mine baby'

And when it's Daniels turn he just cracks jokes and makes comments about how lando doesn't need makeup because he's pretty enough already.

Everyone is just watching them like 'last year they seemed like they hated each other.....and now they're adorable' and teasingly taking pictures and posting things like '#dando #couplegoals'

It makes Lando so warm and happy ro see Dan chatting and messing around with his friends and being really open about their relationship too

Dando Monaco au: Lando actually going back to the UK for a while when they have a fight with Daniel. Lando is not very used to be in a relationship and is very insecure and in a fight Dan accidentally says something bad to him and Lando goes to the UK for a while to work in the factory while clearing his head. Dan being devastated and worried when he thinks Lando is alone and thinks he is unwanted. They meet again when Dan has to go to the factory too

Lando and Daniel getting into a fight, as couples do, but maybe both of them are a little hot headed, and Lando can be a little childish because he is so young. And this is his first long-term relationship and sometimes he feels the age gap between them and maybe the way he says something has Daniel rolling his eyes and muttering something about Lando being too childish to be in an actual relationship and that just rips the band aid off a whole load of insecurities for him and Lando just tells him to leave. And Daniel does thinking they'll both cool off and talk about it later

Yet when he goes to Lando's later, he's gone. And a text from work confirms that Lando is gone to the factory for some sim work, and Daniel isn't needed that work and Lando won't answer his texts and all he can think about is that he knows Lando has insecurities about age and experience and he knows his words hurt him. And he's alone over there. Knows Max is living somewhere else and Lando is probably in a hotel room with no one to lean on and it has Daniel so worried

When he finally gets to the factory, and finds Lando in the canteen Lando thinks the other is going to break it off but Daniel is just pulling him into a huge hug and holding him tight and kiss his forehead and apologising and Lando is just clinging to him and apologising too
