Mona Hatoum

«Hatoum explore le langage des matériaux et leur potentiel métaphorique; la signification de l’oeuvre est autant dictée par le matériau choisi que par la forme. »

ce qui m’intéresse chez elle est qu’elle représente le corps de façon abstraite. Elle fais des illusions métaphoriques dans presque toutes ses œuvres et fais des allusions au victimes et au rapport de résistance. Il y a de la contradiction.

Cette oeuvre est intéressante car le nom jardin public insinue que le corps serait un lieux public pourtant les régions génitales son généralement relié à l’intimité. Donc sa remet en question la vie privé et l’appartenance de notre corps. 

Ma première idée était trop littérale il n’y avait aucune place à une interprétation différente. C’est pourquoi j’ai décidé de me tourner vers une artiste qui représente le corps de manière plus suggéré Mona Hatoum.
