Remembering our Pup, Princess on #NationalPuppyDay 😌 I do remember our pup; over 20 years ago when my hubby just happened to find her. She was with her puppy siblings and her mom, living in a vacant car parts lot. My hubby had said that he would see them walking around on some of the days he’d be driving for RTD Accessoride, until one day they were running out into the street. If I recall; he said that one pup almost got hit by another car, and our “Princess” ran up towards the vehicle he was driving, and when he opened the door, and she hopped right in. He may have saved her life then! He brought our “Princess” home; and our two youngest, had a new family pet. My youngest daughter is who named our Princess, I’m pretty sure. Our youngest daughter was about 5 or 6 at the time, so she continued to grow up with our Princess over the years. She’d go outside occasionally, but was more of an “inside” dog. She moved with us, as we had to move over the years, to new locations, and there had been times our Princess had a hard time adjusting in the beginning, to once she was hiding, until we were able to get her used to a new home. One place we lived at was saying we couldn’t have pets, but my mother-in-law was living just downstairs from us, so our Princess would get to sleep in the same room as my youngest daughters “Granny”, which kept her company until Granny passed. It would be another adjustment for our Princess, who had got used to sleeping next to my mother-in-law for awhile, and of course a huge loss for us. Our Princess returned to live with us again, until her final last years, which was a few years ago. We had her for over 20 years, and she was part of the family.
