The Windsor Express finished off their six game road trip on a high note. After splitting games with the Summerside Storm in their previous two matchups, the Express were led by Mike Helms and Darren Duncan in a 102-96 victory over the Moncton Miracles at the Moncton Coliseum.
Moncton was held to just 34% shooting and lost the battle of the boards 61-53. Moncton forward and NBL Canada leading scorer, Devin Sweetney, led the Miracles with 21 points. Newly acquired Canadian-US dual citizen Micah Brand, scored 20 points in his Miracles debut. It was Moncton's first home loss in five games and currently hold an 8-6 record.
This was Windsor's fourth win of the season and play three of their next four at home.

Playoffs? We’re talking about playoffs? - The latest on the NBL Canada Playoff Picture (as of February 15th)
posted by Romy Aquino
Once again, a big thanks goes to the NBL Canada’s league statistician, Chuck Miller, who's keeping us up to date on the NBL Canada playoff picture. Chuck has also provided a detailed explanation on how the tiebreakers will work, if the situation arises.
So NBL fans, here is the latest on your NBL playoff scenarios.
LONDON LIGHTNING - The Lightning, who are easily a favourite for the first NBL Canada championship this season, can gain an extreme advantage in the playoffs by taking the #1 seed and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs with one more win AND one more Quebec Kebs loss.
QUEBEC KEBS - The Quebec Kebs are in but have a tough schedule ahead of them. They play London twice and Halifax twice in four of their last five games. HALIFAX RAINMEN - The Halifax Rainmen are officially in the playoffs and the remaining wins/losses will determine their seeding for the playoffs. Halifax have been struggling as of late, and will face off against the London Lightning on Sunday, a team who they have yet to beat this season. NOTE (via Chuck Miller): In case Halifax and Quebec finish tied at the end of the regular season, tiebreakers will go into effect. Halifax currently holds a 3-1 winning advantage over Quebec in head-to-head competition. If Halifax wins one more game against Quebec, the Rainmen will be seeded higher if both teams are tied. If Quebec wins their final two games against Halifax, then it will go to the next tiebreaker, which will be total points scored. SAINT JOHN MILL RATS - The Mill Rats can finish off the season strong and clinch a playoff spot with a combination of four Saint John wins and four Oshawa Power losses. OSHAWA POWER - The Power are still in the same boat as earlier this week, they would officially be eliminated from the playoffs with any combination of four Saint John wins or four Oshawa Power losses.
NOTE (via Chuck Miller): In case Saint John and Oshawa finish tied at the end of the regular season, tiebreakers will go into effect. Saint John currently holds a 2-1 winning advantage over Oshawa in head-to-head competition. If Saint John wins two of the final three games against Oshawa, the Mill Rats will be seeded higher if both teams are tied. If Oshawa wins two out of the next three games against Saint John, and if both teams are tied at the end of the regular season, then it will go to the next tiebreaker, which will be total points scored. Currently Saint John has a 7-point advantage in total points scored. SUMMERSIDE STORM - Things are looking bleak for the Summerside Storm as Coach Salerno's squad may be on the outskirts of the playoffs. Any combination of one Saint John win or one Summerside Storm loss will eliminate the Storm officially from the playoffs.
MONCTON MIRACLES - They started out the season rough and the Miracles are no longer in playoff contention.

What happened in the NBL Canada last night? The Miracles are rolling - January 30, 2012

Here's what happened in the National Basketball League of Canada last night.
MONCTON MIRACLES 102, HALIFAX RAINMEN 91
vs
Moncton Top Performers
Trayvon Lathan - 29 pts (10-22), 9-12 FT, 10 rebs
Boubacar Coly - 19 pts (6-11), 10 rebs, 5 ast
Halifax Top Performers
Lawrence Wright - 16 pts (6-12), 4 rebs
Justin Johnson - 10 pts, 9 rebs, 4 ast
The Moncton Miracles are a different team than the 0-11 team that started the season. In this past week, the Miracles pulled out a win against the #1 team in the league, the London Lightning, and then on Monday evening dominated the second place Halifax Rainmen, winning 102-91.
In a game full of turnovers (sixty turnovers between both teams) the Moncton Miracles rolled over the Halifax Rainmen in the final three quarters after trailing 34-15 in the opening quarter. Former Halifax Rainmen guard, Trayvon Lathan, continued his stellar play putting up 29 points for Moncton. Boubcar Coly chipped in with a double double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
This was the Rainmen's fourth game in five nights and the fatigue might have set in on Monday night. Halifax shot just 36% (29-80) on the night and were just 5-20 from the FT line. Lawrence Wright scored 16 points for the Rainmen.
With Coach Mike Evans at the helm for Moncton, the Miracles have turned their ship around. Since their 0-11 start, the Miracles have gone 7-8 in their last fifteen.
