Thought to be the worlds oldest ever mongoose lemur, McLovin lived to the age of 40. He sailed around the world as a ships pet before living in multiple zoos in Europe, finally retiring at the Wildheart animal sanctuary.

Some personal headcanon time!

Violet - I personally think her daemon would already be settled. Something inventive/resourceful, strongly loyal and close to her loved ones, and pretty adaptable. I also really like the idea of her daemon having opposable thumbs, so they could help her with her inventions, so perhaps a Geoffrey’s spider monkey, or a mongoose lemur?

Klaus - I think at the beginning of the story, his daemon would still be unsettled. With all the books he reads, I think his daemon would be the type to take a huge variety of forms to help him study the animals he learns about in books, especially endangered or extinct forms. I think his daemon settling would be one of the major events of the books, and I think he’d eventually settle as something perceptive and independent with an insatiable curiosity. So maybe a cat like a Russian blue or a raccoon dog?

Olaf - Definitely an expressive and selfish person with a penchant for over-dramatics, like a long-tailed weasel perhaps?
