Home Audio Tower Speaker Review
The general consensus with speakers and speaker technology is that more is usually better. When you have more speakers you have the ability to share the workload across different parts of the system and thus produce better sound, or at least more realistic sound. Still, even if you have five different types of speakers, they will do you no good unless you have some sort of receiver that can translate where the audio is supposed to go. Now, if we wanted good sound without having to use some type of protocol (as is used for home theater systems) we will probably be after a two speaker system. With two speakers you won’t be able to create a three dimensional image of the sound, but at least we will be able to direct it properly. Studio monitors that come in pairs are meant to be directed at a single listener, with angle and height all taken into consideration. Since the span of their audio direction is specific, a few degrees off here or there will make a hell of a difference in the type of sound that will be achieved. Can a one speaker system make up for these downfalls? Many have tried it – but getting it right is not easy especially if it doesn’t look pretty to begin with. http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/speakers/nyne-nh-6500-home-audio-tower
