Why I love monkey? Monkey may be mean but inside she's just a softy You have to be rough and tough to make it in Kubo's world, which is why I honestly think monkey didn't make it to the end of the film I love her so much, but she wasn't tough enough- also considering she's just Sariatu in another form really shows that too. Up in the heavens according to monkey herself, she says something along the lines of "my family was perfect" Perfection, obviously something that we all aren't, and apparently Sariatu wasn't. She was strong but grew weak and that was what happened with monkey. Monkey is a metaphor to me. That constant help you'll receive can die out, but you have to move on with that in mind. Monkey is an amazing character in this movie because she pushes Kubo along, and with the help of beetle they make it to at least the second to final battle. I'm not sure if you guys get where I'm going here but I'll end it off like this Don't mess with the monkey She knows what she's doing Even if it gets herself killed It's helping Kubo. Which she did As we see he's quite alright at the end. And that really is the least of it.
