After jumping around, we went next door for nourishment and refeshment at @monkey9brewing, where I tucked into an open-faced steak sandwich, grilled to a perfect medium rare, with a topping of mince garlic, beery mushrooms and caramelized onions, chased with the citrus hop, lime zest, mild danky grass, subtle caramel sweetness, and bitter rye malt backbone of Kikazaru West Coast-style IPA - a winner brew, to be sure! I was so stoked with my first Monkey 9 brew, I decided to take home a growler of Pineapple Haze IPA. This one boasts mild pulpy pineapple, a floral hop wash, hints of orange and lime zest, straw, and a dry, oaty malt bite that makes it crisp and quaffable for a hazy.
