And as for the other dynamics...At the moment they're platonic but this is the general rundown:

Pinkie & Red - Kinda like Mk & Red except Red is both fascinated and infuriated at Pinkie's antics. She keeps breaking reality. And by complete opposite, Pinkie is actually extremely curious over Red because he reminds her of Twilight with a dash of Rarity and Rainbow's personalities.

Pinkie & Lloyd - She's the one effectively dragging him into chaos and somehow knowing exactly what to do if they get caught up in ninja business. Lloyd finds her fun, Pinkie finds him exciting. Also baking lessons.

Red & Lloyd - "You remind me of someone" except they're merely visual cues and the two they're comparing each other to aren't like that at all. They got a solid foundation of doing tech and fighting demons. Also weirdly enough they got into comics and anime together so they're just chilling.

Monkey Nest

I unilaterally dislike everyone who works at my local coffee shop. The coffee is mediocre and lukewarm; the room smells a bit like sour milk; and when it is too crowded in the main room, I get exiled to this overflow room that is overrun with florescent lights and wobbly tables. Nonetheless, I continue coming here.

There is something about its shabbiness and utter lack of regard for its patrons that comforts me. My legging clad legs get caught on the cracking leatherette chairs while my coffee splashes out of the cup, and no one notices. This is the type of anonymity I was looking for when I moved here. I just didn't know how lonely it would be.

The saving grace of this place is not its coffee prices - nope, those are unjustly high - but the music is perfect. They play awesome blues at reasonable levels. This is very important. I found another coffee shop with fabulous employees and high-speed internet that played Halloween music at high volume during December. I was completely distracted the entire time and applied for several jobs with nonsense resumes and cover letters, which I attribute to the working conditions.

This is what it is like to be down and out in Austin, Texas.
