I love Usher. Yep, this older white girl from small town Colorado loves her some soulful R&B.

I like this song, because eventhough it's angsty - it's full of hope and possibility. That's what I want Chenford to be focused on - what if it's better than anything we even can imagine? Instead of focusing on all the roadblocks and hoops they'd have to jump through to get there.

I don‘t think it‘s likely, but I‘m hoping the scene where Tim tells Lucy to keep her head in the game takes places because she is constantly concerned about Tims safety while undercover and it‘s just showing way too much and compromising her focus. 😄

I originally thought that scene was because they find out Rosalind escaped while they are under cover and Lucy freaks out.

But now? Stupid promos are likely spinning one story while the episode will be different.

Thank you. I just want everyone to be treated the same way. Based on their accomplishments - not on what they look like. Most police hierarchies are meritocracies - based on what you do, not who you are. Like Angela and Nyla and Tim getting promoted - that was based on what they did. I feel like Nolan - who has made so many mistakes, is constantly given additional chances. That golden ticket should not be his. or I would care less about his if Lucy had got one after bringing down La Fiera (all by herself under cover).

I do give the Rookie kudos for having a very diverse cast which for the most part matches the diversity of Los Angeles.

I do feel a bit like Lucy is the one who gets all the shit and none of the rewards. Both romantically and professionally.

I worry that the writers will shift Rosalind to be a success story for John instead of one for Lucy. She hopefully will be the one to get her arrested again, post escape. And yes, finally get promoted.

Once she is promoted, I hope she goes after Mr Bradford and fights for what she wants.

There's definitely a time difference between the UC op and Nolan getting his promotion. So that means when Angela asks him about the kiss/feelings for Lucy it's been a few days at least. Really hoping for some gd progress 🙏🏽 I'm so excited 😊 hope u are too!!

I’m tempering my excitement. The creator - Alexi- is not a Chenford fan. Not like the other writers, and not like the stars other than NF.

I could see him bowing to pressure from the studio, the fans, etc to give us a taste of them together and then make it fall apart on purpose. (That’s how I see 3x09 btw with Lucy’s prank -as a bitch slap to the fandom about Chenford. )

My reserved excitement will enjoy seeing them happy and lovey dovey and will enjoy their struggles to return to normal. For now.

I want them to be endgame, but I am not yet confident that happens.

Yes, I totally noticed the “Black Widow on his banana” IG post. Made me think of Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop.

It’s like he wants all the glory, but doesn’t want any of the work. IMO. Others are far more engaged in the PR support of the show than he is. Maybe he will walk away at some point.
