Ngl the panic around HRT happening at the same time as the GLP-1 weight loss craze is some incredible worldbuilding.
You have all these people just freaking out about the safety of sex hormones being used for the same purpose they have been for decades, meanwhile the same people who didn't even know what GLP-1 was until a few years ago are now eager to get on these medications and nobody cares about possible long-term effects or regret.
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is he so afraid of being assaulted in men's spaces if he is outed that he will use women's spaces?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is he asking you not to erase his lived experience?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or has he been scared by all the posts mocking male transition results into thinking he'll be a laughingstock if he starts balding?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or has he seen masculine people be treated as inherently predatory so often that he holds this back to be seen as a person?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is he trying to avoid being treated the way you treat masculine people?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is his childhood still influencing how he conducts himself?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is he speaking about misogyny he has experienced?
I reject the premise that trans women are the "main" targets of transphobia. I reject the premise that trans women are victimized more, worse, or more intentionally by transphobia than trans men. I reject the premise that trans men are only accidental or secondary targets of transphobia. I reject the premise that trans men are merely splash damage casualties in attacks against trans women. I reject the premise that trans men are only accidentally harmed by transphobia.
I should not have to post about transmasc issues with a disclaimer that "of course" trans women are hurt worse by this. I should not have to apologize for posting about transmasc issues instead of transfemme issues.
There is nothing accidental about transphobia. Every facet of it is intentional. Trans men are not bystanders in the genocide against all trans people. Trans men aren't accidental targets of trans genocide.
Ok so it’s totally cool that diy T is a felony and doctors have to jump through hoops to prescribe it and we’re constantly warned out our fertility and how it’s going to destroy our bodies but as soon as a random citizen petition gets sent about E suddenly the whole trans community is freaking out. Really love that for us. Makes me feel really valued
i wish people were nicer about the whole transgender thing
Scottish Trans People PSA
Over recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of people contacting our Adult Gender Service for support, advice, and treatment.
This week (20th April 2026) the Sandyford Adult Gender Service in Glasgow have said that they are beginning their adult waiting list validat
If you are on Sandyford's Adults waiting list, they are carrying out a "validation exercise" to confirm contact details beginning today (20th April 2026)
They'll contact you via email, text or mail depending on your contact preferences, and you have 2 weeks to respond and confirm that your contact details are still the same, or amend them if required
IF THEY HAVE NOT CONTACTED YOU BY 1ST JUNE then contact them at [email protected] or +44 141 211 8693
This is for the adult service only, the young people's service has already gone through this exercise.
Scottish Trans is still waiting to hear what will happen if you don't respond in time, though they have been told that reminders etc will be sent
Non responders will be removed from the waiting list, but if you get in touch afterwards, you MAY be put back on the list in the place you held previously, but this hasn't been confirmed by Sandyford.
FAQs and accessibility support are available on the first link (Sandyford's webpage about this) and I've also posted Scottish Trans's link about this too
Any signal boosting is GREATLY appreciated because I had no idea about this!
@ayeforscotland sorry to bother but I don't really know of other big Scottish accounts on here
I love trans men and the world is better every single day for having trans men in it
throwing a hand grenade into a hornets' nest here but all other criticisms aside, its just plain weird that so many people insist that half-century old usamerican bar culture (butchfemme, drag, etc.) is a Universally Understood and Accepted Queer Experience. like the overwhelming majority of present day queer people have zero connection to this concept, let alone the millions that have existed across history.
Transmasc people don't get their flowers at all when it comes to their influence on alternative fashion but they should
I've seen a lot of alt fashions emerge (and re-emerge) from spaces with a heavy transmasculine presence, with many transmasculine people inspiring and spearheading unique evolutions on DIY fashion. I genuinely think the reinvigorating of the modern scene kid would not have been possible without tmasc influence. There's a swath of young tmasc punks encouraging separation from fast fashion and teaching DIY clothing alteration. There's goths, there's emos, there's clowns, and there's creatures (oh my)
So here's some credit and acknowledgment for that, for the transmasculine people who are pushing the boundaries on alternative fashion and keeping its spirit alive in our communities, inspiring a lot of other people to participate too
Transphobes (and judgmental trans people) will include being alternative in dismissive and condescending stereotypes about tmascs, but like. That association is coming from the sincere existence of transmasculine alternative fashion culture - and actually it's insanely creative and really cool and fun that we have that. It is far from a bad thing.
You all have unimaginable swag. Don't let them shame you for that. You fucking rock
"Trans men are spouting MRA rhetoric!!!"
:looks inside:
Trans men are asking to be included in discussions about abortion access, where they, transmascs, and enbies (particularly if they're racialised) are THE most vulnerable group.
Trans men from the global south are talking about their specific vulnerabilities and the horrific violence they face.
Trans men are asking the rest of the community to please care more about the fact that their hormones are a controlled drug and their identities are already on a controlled drug registry that can be very easily cross-referenced with agab to Pick Out The Trannies.
Trans men are talking about how TMOC have been targeted for sexual & physical harrassment because of their transmasculinitiy in detention centres.
Trans men are asking the queer community to stop claiming they have made 'no historical contributions' when 1) they have, and 2) they have been violently erased, institutionalised, and forced into marriage throughout history, and even those lucky few who went stealth were often discovered through forcible outing.
Trans men are begging the queer community to stop spreading transphobic lies that predatorjacket them as dangerous, violent rapists.
Trans men are mentioning that they are often ENTIRELY banned from playing on men's OR women's high-level sport teams, because those teams are allowed to 'make their own decisions' on whether to permit them while using a banned steroid, which usually, you guessed it, means they can't compete.
If you wanna call me a Trans Men's Rights Activist because I care about the rights of trans men, along with every other member of the trans community... go right ahead, I guess.
I see so many posts claiming that trans men talking about their reproductive organs is them misgendering themselves but have yet to see a single post saying the same thing to trans women talking about their penis or prostate if they have them.
It's a double standard that needs to die. Many, many trans men, mascs, enbies, and intersex folks have a uterus and ovaries and are extremely impacted by things like reproductive laws and the need for gynecological care, and they have every fucking right to talk about it without being told they're misgendering themselves.
If it's not misgendering for someone to talk about their penis and the need for prostate checks, why the fuck is it misgendering to talk about their uterus and ovaries?
I have never seen someone get up in arms about a trans woman going to a proctologist "invading men's spaces" but I sure have seen hundreds of posts about trans men going to the gyno "invading women's spaces."
Nobody is invading ANY space because anyone can have any configuration of reproductive organs. No one gender has ownership over that. Everyone deserves access to the medical care they need for their body, whatever that care might look like. It is not misgendering oneself to talk about the organs and body parts you have.
i think there is a phenomenon where sometimes a trans person will go “hmm. i am treated as a man when it is convenient for others, and a woman when it is convenient for others, and often as a freakish third thing excluded from the advantages of both. surely, because of the gender binary, the Other Type of trans person experiences the opposite: they reap the benefits of maleness and femaleness at once.” like babes no they can do it twice
+ "i see this person claims to identify as a freakish third thing. clearly this is a less-trans person larping with my oppression, whom i will now treat as either a man or a woman and as either cis or trans as i find convenient. #justified"
real quick before TDOV ends anyone want some transmasc joy
We love hopecore!
On Saturday, March 28, Team Iron Transmasc nabbed the third place spot in an ironman competition, a team sport that includes swimming, bike riding, and running. The team included champion trans swimmer Schuyler Bailar, deaf nonbinary cyclist Chella Man, and trans nonbinary marathoner Cal Calamia.

that singular person emoji adds to this post quite well
The US is detransitioning prisoners and just announced that ICE can detain trans people on suspicion of visa fraud. The UK just banned all care for trans kids and is now conducting an "evidence review" into HRT for trans adults and now the biggest DIY HRT web resource just went down.
Trans people need to learn solidarity yesterday, we need to be ready to organise together and set aside anything that we need to in order to get our shit sorted out. Cis people need to take it seriously that the fascists are trying to completely extinguish transess from existence
oh cool the UK government covered up a spike in trans youth suicides after they restricted trans care.
prosecute everyone in that fucking government for murder.
A Freedom of Information request to the National Child Mortality Database reveals that 22 trans children under 18 died by suicide in England
