Thank you to those who've taken part in our mini guessing game last weekend. Seems like most of you got it right, I've turned this pair of heart shaped stripey socks into a.... Sock Monkey! What do you think of my first handmade sock plush toy? :)

I always have a thing for old school sock monkeys ever since I saw them on the internet. The thought of turning a pair of ordinary socks into a plush toy have always amazed me. A few months ago, I happened to chance upon this amazing sock monkey tutorial by CraftPassion. I knew that someday, I have to give it a try.

I finally had some spare time last weekend to make my very own Sock Monkey. I bought this pair of grey and white cotton stripes socks for just S$2 at Vivocity Daiso. With CraftPassion's well elaborated tutorial, making this Sock Monkey was a breeze. The tutorial provide very clear step by step pictures and descriptions. This Sock Monkey was hand sewn instead of using a sewing machine as instructed in the tutorial. I've made a small pom pom and sewed it on top of my Sock Monkey so it'll resemble more like the original Sock Monkey. I had so much fun making my first sock plush toy!
