hullo! moki here- i made this blog mainly to organize all my monocross stuff and talk more about it, so this is where i'll be posting it all :] there's already an introductory info section on the blog site, so go check that out!

a few months ago i had a really surreal dream but it was also very story driven and a vibe so i'm starting to make characters based off it :] this is aria, who [i think] i played the role of in that dream

i'm prolly gonna refer to this dream-au-thing as monocross for now

day 4: a polysexual laeton :] this one's got modern clothes and literally ripped holes into its hoodie to fit its wings, you want to be like them

some vocabulary terms that might be used

monocross [MAWN-oh-crawss] - the plane of existence that is inhabited by isopions and related creatures

umbron [UM-brawn] (pl. umbrons) - a variant of isopions that hold a dark aura, and may contain death, order, and other related intangible concepts; they are usually identified by their antlers [horn type may vary], deer-like tails, and gothic color schemes

umbronal [um-BRAWN-al] - relating to or originating from umbrons, descended from umbrons

laeton [LAY-tawn or LAI-tawn] (pl. laetons) - a variant of isopions that hold a light aura, and may contain anxiety, joy, and other related intangible concepts; they are usually identified by their wings, possible feathered tails and/or ears, and vibrant, warm color schemes

laetonal [lay-TAWN-al or lai-TAWN-al] - relating to or originating from laetons, descended from laetons

isopion [eye-SOH-pee-awn] (pl. isopions) - humanoid creatures made entirely of intangible concepts, inhabiting the monocross; their locations and status determine certain aspects of the natural plane of existence (see umbrons and laetons). each isopion holds one main sterotia and one main atoria

isopial [eye-SOH-pee-al] - relating to or originating from isopions

sterotia [stair-AWT-ee-uh] - an intangible concept that is the main positive aura of an isopion (a laeton’s might be creativity or freedom, while an umbron’s might be order or tranquility)

atoria [uh-TOR-ee-uh] - an intangible concept that is the main negative aura of an isopion (opposite to sterotia)

vyrgarial [veer-GAIR-ee-al] (adj. vyrgarialish) - a derogatory, isopial term that refers to half-blooded isopions or crosses between umbrons and laetons

a lot of these arts are laetons because the color schemes are so vibrant and tropical but once i get into the ace aro spectrum maybe we'll get some umbrons ;;
