the swirling mists of the peculiar dreamscape. / he can't sleep. it is not physically possible. / ceaseless flashes of stars & colour obstruct the puppet's vision as he soon finds himself in a state of bewildered disarray walking through a path of insanity. where he ought to have a heart feels heavy ; the burden & weight of revelations. & just then … in the midst of ethereal haze : Niwa. the man's presence as vivid as in the memories that had shattered his world such a long time ago. perplexed, incensed gaze visibly softens when locked onto Niwa's. voice wavering, the once-harbinger pathetically ( he thinks ) struggles to call out. ❛ Ni ⸻ Niwa … ? ❜

There's a long pause, only to be followed by the bard clasping his hand over his mouth to suppress the fit of giggles breaking out.

Oh, he hadn't meant to startle the man, but the utter bafflement simply looked rather hilarious.

"Sorry! I'm sorry!" The laughter continued for a moment before Venti cleared his throat to calm himself down. "Ehe, I hadn't meant to scare you! I'd been up there trying to get a good view of the area when I noticed you- it escaped my mind that you might not have noticed me in return."
