Sparkle had been aware of what the Xianzhou had been through over the last few years, with needing to rebuild itself from scratch as the Destruction had attempted to make it a home for its first few steps—but she had been getting rather board with the other planets she’d been to so far. Without the corrupt, large chicken commanding people to slumber for eternity, and without anything else on her ticket to any success for the foreseeable future… what’s one harmless prank on these people, huh?

he's  seen  similar  pokemon  before  —  though  his  familiarity  starts  and  ends  with  artistic  renditions  splashed  across  the  pages  of  a  book.  (  the  libraries  of  this  era  are  truly  a  wonder  to  behold!  )  yet  there  is  a  marked  difference  between  those  depictions  and  the  serpent  before  him  now.  scales  have  been  replaced  by  sleek  plates  of  metal,  a  melding  of  the  organic  and  inorganic  so  seamless  as  to  become  something  else  entirely.  there  is  a  part  of  him  that  has  been  conditioned  to  view  all  pokemon  with  caution,  even  if  volo  never  shared  the  fear  that  paralyzed  many  of  hisui's  inhabitants.  (  they  are  weapons  —  dangerous,  but  still  able  to  be  wielded  by  a  capable  master.  )  however,  something  about  this  particular  creature  has  a  sense  of  wrongness  itching  at  the  back  of  his  skull  that  fascinates  as  much  as  it  unsettles.
