Nothing wrong in shipping those gorgeous males with each other! I do too - Butch and V are my ultimate OTP, and the reason I keep coming back to the BDB again and again. Hell, they're the reason I started reading slash to start with - and they're also responsible for getting me into M/M romance (thank you for that my dears!) I would have liked to read just one Butch/V/Rhage story, I think it could be so hot. Z and Phury I confess to guilty curiosity as well. Rehv/Phury I only discovered recently but it's got potential. I don't really have pairings for the others that really appeal to me though. Mostly I usually just want everyone to ship Butch and V to increase the number of fabrics out there. 😄

It's even better than that: the show was renewed on April 2nd, two days before 7x04 aired. That's still crazy to me. Even if they needed to make a decision quickly about the renewal, surely they could have waited 3 more days to see how a potentially controversial episode would be received. I feel like most networks would have.
But no, they didn't. Which to me speaks of their confidence in either a) 911's continued popularity b) their audience globally being accepting of bisexual Buck or c) that they were 100% committed to the vision no matter the result. Possibly or probably, it was all of those at once.
